Why join our Foundation?
Organizing activities for visitors together in a team is satisfying. Research into the special history of Hellevoetsluis leaves you wanting more.

What do we do ?
We collect, preserve and reveal the military history of Hellevoetsluis and its immediate surroundings. That is a mouthful, but means that we find it interesting to want to cry everything that has to do with the defense of Hellevoetsluis. We are happy to share that knowledge with people who want to know more about it.

How do we do that?
We share this by organizing guided tours, holding exhibitions, lectures, adventurous treasure hunts and everything that goes with it.
We show people around and tell special stories. We are hostess or host for visitors who want to take a look inside. We make coffee and tea. We receive school classes to tell about the military history. We set up treasure hunts. We................ do much more, but there is not one volunteer who does all this. That is why we are with a team where everyone does what he or she likes and when it fits.

What do you need to have a lot of fun with us ?
Spare time, interest in military history, wanting to work with others to achieve something together. Enjoying telling your story to a group of people. Don't worry about the knowledge you don't have. There were few volunteers who joined us full of knowledge. We share knowledge with each other.

What do you get in return?
Satisfaction, fun, knowledge, social contacts, friends and ....... so much more. In any case, no money, because we are a non-profit volunteer organization.
